Guide
A complete walkthrough for eligible travelers: from checking your category to clearing roll call and boarding the mission.
Space-A is open to active-duty service members, retirees, Reservists, National Guard members, and certain dependents. Your Space-A category (I through VI) determines your priority during roll call. Make sure your DoD ID card and passport are valid, and gather any leave forms or EML orders before you register.
Choose the AMC or joint-service passenger terminal closest to you — or the one that flies the route you want. Use the Stations page to find phone numbers, locations, and current missions for 115 terminals worldwide.
Most terminals accept sign-ups by email. Send your full name, status, category, number of travelers, contact info, and desired destinations. The example below is a ready-to-use template — just replace the bracketed sections with your own details.
Show up at the passenger service counter well before the published roll call time. Bring the original documents you referenced in your email: DoD ID, passport, leave/EML orders, and any required dependent paperwork. Dress and baggage must meet AMC travel standards.
During roll call, the terminal calls names in category order. If you are called, present your documents, confirm seats for your entire party, check any required bags, and proceed to the aircraft. If you miss roll call, you are usually removed from that flight's list.
